Briana Spiker

Accessibility Specialist

Briana has worked with WVU for 22 years, the last 10 years serving both the Morgantown campus and Potomac State College in Keyser. She works with students, families, service professionals and others to assist students with disabilities in receiving accommodations. Briana has a Master of Social Work (MSW), a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology (BAS) from WVU. As a Program Specialist, she worked with the Klingberg Center for Child Development for nine years and with the WVU Center on Aging.  

Briana also has worked as a medical social worker at WVU Hospital, Monongalia General Hospital, local home health services and long-term care nursing homes. She interned at WVU Division of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry in Charleston and at the local mental health center. She was a domestic violence shelter employee, and her first job upon graduating was with Department of Welfare's Division of Handicapped Children’s Services. She participated in an interdisciplinary approach for children with disabilities in a 20-county area.
