Kurzweil 3000 Read the Web Extension

Kurzweil 3000 Read the Web Extension

A new feature update for Kurzweil 3000 brings, Kurzweil 3000 - Read the Web Extension. This feature allows you to download an extension in your browser and read the web using the same voices you are used to using in the Kurzweil 3000 Web Browser application including eCampus!

To use the Kurzweil 3000 - Read the Web Extension, you will need to download it from the Chrome extension store which is  called Read the Web, offered by Kurzweiledu.com. Cambium Tech has a video for installation process in Chrome and using the Read the Web extension.

Pearson VitalSource Bookshelf

Some textbooks that students purchase through Pearson are available using Pearsons Vital Source Bookshelf. Unfortunately, we are often times unable to get a digital copy of these textbooks to use in Kurzweil 3000. However, Kurzweil 3000 now works in the VitalSource Bookshelf with the Kurzweil 3000 Read the Web Extension. The directions below will help you navigate this process.

  1. Open the Chrome or Firefox browser
  2. Login to your Kurzweil 3000 read the Web extension which can be downloaded from the extension store for your browser.
