Rachel Lanham
Interpreter/Captioner
Rachel earned a Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language and Psychology from Northeastern University. She later earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Marshall University and holds teaching credentials for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing and students who are Blind/Visually Impaired. She holds a state certification for interpreting through VQAS, as well as EIPA certification. Prior to joining the Office of Accessibility as an interpreter and captioner, Rachel served as the staff interpreter and project director for the WV Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, after which she held positions at the WV Schools for the Deaf and the Blind. She joined OAS in January 2020.
